Russia’s policy toward Ukraine, Moscow’s actions in Syria, and also reconciliation with Turkey prove ambitious leader Vladimir Putin intends to create a new “world order”, in which Russia will rise. The creation of this order, the Italian Maurizio Molinari calls “a big game of Putin”.

Molinari calls Putin’s strategy of the “three ones” and describes it as “the big game”. It offers a closer look at the situation on all three fronts.” It will be clear: wherever does Putin reduced the influence of the United States. And this is “sensitive” for the United States: in Ukraine, Moscow wants to weaken the credibility of Washington as a guarantor of Eastern Europe; in Syria, Putin seeks to demonstrate a more powerful military capacity directed against jihadists, it boasts a coalition of more than 60 countries, led by Obama; in Turkey, the Russian leader seeks to break the Association of Ankara with NATO.
In this “great game”, whose epicenter is located in the Eastern part of the Mediterranean sea”, Putin acts against the West, today torn apart by disagreements on issues of migration and terrorism, as well as protests and Brexit question.
“Putin’s ambitions”, the author continues, lay the “foundations of the international order, the center of which the West will not be”.
Well, more generally, Putin is building a “privileged relationship” with the countries that are controlled by different political models: from Belarus to Turkey, from Egypt to Iran and the former Soviet republics in Central Asia. Here we are talking about the energy investment, or their overlap, on the military presence of “soft power”, the latter is highly effective in Russian, as evidenced, for example, the popularity of the TV channel “Russia Today” in the Arab world.

Ambitious strengthening of Russia on the world stage, which says the Italian editor, is a consequence of several factors, directed from the outside against the country, and not the result of a strategic plan of the Kremlin strategists, implemented in the name of “new world order”.
Ukraine is largely caused by corruption, “baked” approval “euromaidan” by the Americans, the breakaway South-East and the coming to power of another political mediocrities like Poroshenko and his mercurial team, spread around the ruins. The referendum in the Crimea transferred the Peninsula under the Russian flag. The West imposed sanctions against Russia. Syria, meanwhile, was shredded by the “color revolution” and terrorism “opposition”, supported by both the US and Turkey. In Turkey, where now the turbulent and where was the attempt of a military coup, Erdogan hints at an American track. Finally, the NATO Alliance was arming and enhanced in Europe, declaring that “Russian aggression”.
