France blocked the granting Ukraine visa-free regime with the EU
Question about getting Ukraine visa-free regime with the EU will not appear on the agenda of European officials at least in the coming months. This was stated by interior Minister of France Bernard Cazeneuve during a session of the Council of heads of the Ministry of internal Affairs of the countries of the European Union.
They discussed the emergency brake mechanism a visa-free regime with Turkey in the event of abuse or deterioration in a migration situation.
Cazeneuve expressed the opinion of his colleagues in the EU that any steps towards liberalization of the visa regime should be adopted only after the introduction of the mechanism emergency stop.
“This issue cannot be resolved in the coming weeks and months. France does not want it,” said Cazeneuve.
