C visit to Ankara tomorrow comes the Minister of foreign Affairs of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif.
The diplomat is scheduled to meet with Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to Turkish foreign Ministry.
The trade turnover between Turkey and Iran in the first quarter reached $2.9 billion, up almost $150 million compared to last year.
Whether Zarif to discuss in Turkey the Syrian conflict, is not specified.
On 8 August, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting in Baku with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. A day later in St. Petersburg, the Russian leader met with the head of Turkey Recep Erdogan. The parties also agreed to cooperate on Syria, where an ally of Russia, to help in military operations with the Assad regime is Iran. Turkey is known to support the Syrian rebels.
