In the third quarter, the deterioration in personal financial situation over the past year, reported by 40% of Russians, about the improvement — only 8%, said the market research Center of the Institute for statistical studies and Economics of knowledge, HSE, citing data from surveys, carried out by Rosstat on a quarterly basis among 5 thousand people aged 16 years and older.
In II quarter the share of respondents negatively evaluating the changes in its financial position amounted to 41%, positive 7%.
The worsening personal financial situation in the coming year in the third quarter expect 22% of respondents, improvement is 9%. In the previous quarter, these figures were 27% and 8% respectively.
More than 35% of respondents reported that the current economic situation seems to them “rather unpleasant” for expensive purchases; more than 30% expressed the opinion that “pros” and “cons”, only 6% considered the situation “more favorable than unfavorable,” and only 0.3% – very favorable.
“Indirectly, this distribution of responses suggests that almost two-thirds of the population are not suppose to do today purchase relatively expensive goods”, – concluded the experts.
