A piece of glass 150 by 30 centimeters fell from a skyscraper “Bantor” in the centre of Berlin on the windshield of a passing car. The building, built between 1996 and 2000, is the headquarters of the holding of Deutsche Bahn main railway operator in Germany, the newspaper writes The Local.
The panel struck the windshield of a moving car. 26-year-old car driver was not injured. A fallen piece of glass was a decorative element rather than part of the building.
Housed in a skyscraper Deutsche Bahn stated that the holding is not liable for what happened as he is only a resident of the building. The façade controls the external management company. The city authorities promised to do everything possible to avoid similar incidents in the future.
Skyscraper “Banterer” is located on Potsdamer Platz. The height of a 26-storey building, built by the American architect of German origin Helmut Yana is 103 meters.
