To make a film about future technologies is not an easy task.
Flying skateboard — hoverboard — one of the most interesting “chips” of the second part of the famous trilogy “Back to the future”.
They say that many viewers believe that this is a real device. Well, Director Robert Zemeckis even added fuel to the fire, and he provoked the appearance of a sensation: he explained that the hoverboard is actually kept in the air — due to the magnetic field. The journalists were told that is the development of the military, permission to use which the crew managed to beat out with great difficulty.
In fact, of course, all this was said in jest. Real shooting turned into a rather complicated process.
No, when Marty or other “hoverbutton” showed above the knees removed “rides” on the normal skateboards.
To create the effect of light sliding over an uneven surface, the entire area of the town covered with plywood sheets.
In some scenes the main character rolled on a simple cart.
It is much more difficult to remove frames when the actors showed below the knee, with soaring hoverboards and feet on them.
To remove these episodes, to the boards tightly screwed shoes.
The characters in the film were put on a special installation and drove until all action was on camera.
In addition, engineers had to come up with a complicated system of straps and wires which were fastened to the crane, for the filming of the flying heroes in full growth.
The straps hung actors, and those almost really flew in the air.
While the complex design was made for the filming of scenes on the water.
But any design before we have to try and break in. Especially such a complex.
