50 years ago Toyota introduced the first Corolla [photo Gallery]

So, exactly 50 years ago, Toyota has released the following press release: “the Toyota Corolla is a five seater car from Japan, which is positioned as the “most affordable car” in the market. When designing the Corolla, Toyota engineers have spent years to combine all the technology of the company and to offer them to the public”.

Who knew that such banal words starts the car, which will become the bestseller of all time in the world?

Over fifty years Toyota has sold 44 million Corolla almost all over the planet providing all the generations and young families not spectacular, but very utilitarian everyday car.
