About the protests of the Kuban farmers said in the beginning of February, then they called a press conference and declared that their patience is exhausted.
The main reason is mass appropriation of land from small farms in favour of large holdings. All this accompanied by beatings, arson and excited for farmers criminal cases.
Alexey Volchenko, the organizer of the protest, we met at the administration building of the village Starovelichkovskaya. Almost all of the thirteen thousand of the local population one way or another connected with the earth.
“Yes we on Kuban the whole of Russia to feed would,” says Volchenko. It is easy to believe in it – fields, Apple orchards and greenhouses, stretching for tens of kilometers around the village.

“In ninety-two farms distributed land and we are all ex – collective farmers, received land shares, and started working on themselves. But these units still had to make. By local standards, the family of Alexey Volchenko lives pretty well – in the back yard there are two tractors, and all the property of their family and eighty acres of land. For them he is fighting.

Volchenko said – in recent years he and his father were criminal cases, Volchenko was accused that he was trying to get a stranger to him a woman to work in the police. On Sunday evening the farmers were invited to a meeting with the Deputy Governor and the popular front. According to Alexey Volchenko, landowners will be persuaded to abandon the protest.
