At Wimbledon the first rain in the men’s singles not played 11 matches of the second day’s play.
Andy Murray in one hour and 45 minutes dealt with compatriot Liam Brody, all the successes which the court limited to two unreleased break-points. In the second round of the home tournament, Murray will meet with Lou Anisurum.
Stan Wawrinka in the opening match got a higher-status rival, the Swiss met the ex-first racket among boys Taylor Fritz. Promising American on his debut Wimbledon managed to disturb one of the favorites of the tournament – Wawrinka in the tiebreak and lost the third set and not without problems finished off the opponent in the fourth game. In the next round Wawrinka himself waiting for Juan Martin del Potro,
won on the eve of his first victory in the majors over the last 894 days.
French hopes of Wimbledon, Richard Gasquet and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga managed to complete their matches before the rain. Nick Kyrgios is not without problems closed Czech veteran Radek Stepanek, and Roberto Bautista-Agut confidently knocked the Aussie, Jordan Thompson.
