…Actually, I’m a terrible thing to say: this was to be expected.
On one of the most prestigious resorts in Europe, nice, locals and tourists on the famous promenade des Anglais noted, probably, the most important national holiday of the French Republic, Bastille Day. Walked, rejoiced, watched a Grand salute: many observers note that this year’s Bastille Day in France is celebrated with some special scale.
And this festive crowd on embankment just flew the damn truck: someone once reeled up on wheels, someone is seriously wounded, and the rest of the truck opened submachine gun fire. According to eyewitnesses, the driver specially made zigzags to crush as many people as possible.
And tell me please if this is not war, what is it then?
All this is really scary.
Because, even technically, to organize such a terrifying “action” in one of the most prosperous, understandable and bourgeois French communes where everything is, in fact, mind is very, very difficult. Find, prepare and deliver artists, weapons, technical means (again, nice mostly white and very small town), to get to places of a mass congestion of people on the day of the national holiday, – it’s generally never a joke.
And nevertheless – it happened again.
What is it then?!
Again, the famous French “nonchalance”?!
To be honest, it seems to me that, alas, no.
It is not “carelessness”. It’s “anarchy”. When a part of the functions of the national state France, including in ensuring security, along with its sovereignty, delegated Neznamov who is in Brussels. And Brussels would not respond, because it is not included in the scope of his interests, and indeed his task is not this, but to do what he “suggests” Washington. Well, in Washington, in General, excuse, problems of Indians of the Sheriff never cared for his own problems, and even, in General, there is no need to discuss.
Here hung the French power in the state, excuse me for the tautology, of anarchy. When it just technically can neither independently “to declare war on terrorism” (which, by the way, the French aircraft carrier that went to the coast of Syria after the previous attacks, and why it is there so ignominiously left?). No wait for “coordinated action” — neither with “allies”, nor Brussels, nor Washington. The result is to pronounce a lot of words and not done virtually any business. So we talked at the beginning of this text that, horrifyingly, this was to be expected. Because if or in Brussels will not be able to build the “vertical”, able to receive, to perform and strictly monitor the situation in European security (under the current structure of the EU is simply impossible). Either France will not regain, at least in this area the sovereignty of the nation-state level, – the French will continue to be killed along with the tourists who decided to visit this beautiful country. And not because them for something someone completely separately doesn’t like. But just because they are at the moment – the most convenient target.
