The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine plans to return to compulsory technical inspection of all vehicles.
This decision of the government the text of the bill №4683 “On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine in the field of road transport with the aim of bringing them in compliance with acts of the European Union”.
The document of the Cabinet of Ministers provides for the mandatory assessment of the condition of the brakes and steering, external lights and reflectors, wheels and tires, and suspensions and media visibility.
All faults will be divided into three categories – minor, significant and dangerous. The vehicle will not be able to successfully pass a technical inspection, if found to be at least two malfunction of any of the presented categories.
If everything goes without problems, in this case the car will receive a certificate testifying to its suitability for use and special markings. This labelling will need to be mounted inside the vehicle in the lower right corner of the windshield. It will show the date of the last inspection, the level of environmental standards, car, and current mileage.
Below these data, the expert who conducted IT, will put his signature and personal seal. All information will be recorded in the Unified state register of vehicles.
