Cars can enter the market in 2018.
The company Volkswagen is working on an electric vehicle with a range of 400 to 600 miles on a single battery charge, which could be a record for a car of this type.
About plans of release of the car said General Director of Volkswagen Herbert Diss in an interview with German magazine Wirtschafts Woche.
The head of the company said that the future vehicle will be compact in size, roughly corresponding to the model Golf, but with a more spacious trunk.
It is expected that the new car could go on sale in 2018 or 2019.
