VW will launch a new range of electric cars in 2019.
Volkswagen has published a teaser of the prototype of the new model with fully electric propulsion. Public premiere of the concept car will take place in late September at the Paris motor show.
As previously reported, commodity electric car will appear in 2019. The dimensions novelty will be close to the family of Golf, but the interior will “in the same spacious as the “Passat”.
With a fully charged battery the electric car, on average, can go from 400 to 480 kilometers. According to the head of “Volkswagen” Matthias Muller, the novelty will receive an innovative charging system, which will restore the stock battery in 15 minutes.
Following this model, the Germans will release the electric SUV and Phaeton flagship sedan next generation, which will see a modification with a fully electric powertrain.
By 2025, in the line of “Volkswagen” will be about 30 models to electric ones, which have about a quarter of all sales of the German company. For electric family car VW will build a plant for the production of batteries, which invest around 10 billion euros.
