The Moscow arbitration court declared bankrupt the only top-40 in Russia by assets. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Thus the court found reasonable requirements of the Central Bank insolvency of the credit institution. The representative of the regulator said in the courtroom that the obligations of Vneshprombank at the time of revocation of the license amounted to 259,9 billion, while total assets of 49.7 billion rubles.
The Central Bank withdrew the license at Vneshprombank January 21. The regulator refused the procedure of financial recovery of the organization because of the imbalance between assets and liabilities. Hole in equity financial structure was estimated at 210 billion rubles.
22 December 2015, the Bank of Russia introduced a moratorium on satisfaction of requirements of creditors of Vneshprombank. Earlier the investigative Committee on suspicion of fraud detained the Chairman of the management Board Larisa Marcus. On December 18, the Central Bank has appointed the Bank a temporary administration.
