The appointment of Giampiero Ventura for the post of chief coach of the national team of Italy for many was the surprise. The next coach of Italy’s squadra Azzurra” since 1976, replaced a half dozen clubs (Lecce, Sampdoria, Udinese, Cagliari, Napoli, Torino, Verona and others). Never before Ventura did not set maximum objectives, all of his clubs were average people with claims to the UEFA Cup/Europa League.
