Vnesheconombank (VEB) may again become profitable in 2018. This was stated by the new Chairman of Vnesheconombank Sergey Gorkov at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, reports TASS. According to Gor, it will be possible after normalization of the basic processes of work in 2016-2017.
He also said that the work of the Bank is normalized after joining a new team. “In General, restored the confidence of investors, attracted more than a billion dollars from the market; we can say that the problem with liquidity we decided this year”, — said the head of VEB.
Gorkov said that the Bank continues to lend to the industry, “albeit limited because of resources is not enough, but we do it.”
In turn, Putin noted the positive results of the beginning of work Gor. He added that VEB should continue as a development institution.

On February 26 the Chairman of the state Corporation Vnesheconombank was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of Sberbank Sergey Gorkov. In this position, he was replaced by Vladimir Dmitriev, who held the position the past 19 years and released from it by the presidential decree.
