A spokesman for the White house Josh Ernest said on Friday that the Russian observers to monitor elections of the President of the United States in the framework of international mission of Office for democratic institutions human rights, OSCE, and other requests based on Russian actions in cyberspace seem suspicious.

Earlier in mass media there were reports that Moscow sent a request to Washington with the request to allow Russian observers to attend elections in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas, but was refused.
Ernest explained this by the fact that after receiving such requests from foreign governments, the Department of state forwards them to the authorities of a state, leaving the decision to their discretion.
“There is also a process, organized by the OSCE, which monitors U.S. elections. In the past, we cooperated successfully with them. Russia was able to send persons to observe the elections in the United States as members of the OSCE delegation. Russia refused to participate in this format. You should ask them why they abandoned such a possibility, if was so interested in a deeper understanding of how are free elections, a process which Russian officials are not very familiar“, — said the press Secretary of the us administration (quoted by “Interfax”).
Thursday, October 20, the official representative of the foreign Ministry of Russia Maria Zakharova said that Moscow will consider Washington’s refusal to allow Russian officials to monitor the US presidential elections in the evaluation of their transparency and democracy.
The United States presidential election will take place less than three weeks later, on 8 November. The fight will be between Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and representative Republican Donald trump.
