Lesia, Tsurenko are unable to present yet another sensation and break through to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open.
For an exit in the top eight at the US Open Ukrainian competed with last year’s finalist American major Roberta Vinci. Tennis players met for the second time in the season in Doha, Tsurenko was able to win only three games.
The beginning of the match passed under dictation of experienced Italian – Vinci led 3:1 and missed four break points. Bouncing on his serve, Tsurenko just won another protracted game at the reception, and then took the lead. In the tenth game, the Ukrainian was one ball from a set-bol, but Vinci did not flinch.
Tennis players continued to sort out relations in the tiebreak – Tsurenko was leading 5:4, but made three unforced errors in a row and was in position to catch up.
The second batch of Ukrainian began to break, and his serve Les led 40:15. Unfortunately, unforced errors again came to the fore. Tsurenko for a few minutes lost four games in a row and get back in the game.
