Ko Phayam. Despite the wide beaches lined with palm trees and casuarinas, picturesque rolling countryside and a peaceful rhythm of local life, the island of Koh Phayam remains one of the lesser-known places in Thailand.
The island is very tiny – only about ten kilometers in length and five in width. There are no coral reefs, but you can have a great tan in the sun or take a boat rental. In the depths of the Islands are plantations of rubber, and all its territory is flooded with small restaurants.
Koh Phra Thong. Located in the Andaman sea near the mainland of Thailand, this island remains one of the last bastions of wild nature, which is untouched by mass tourism. The island is surrounded by pristine mangrove forests, inhabited by deer, wild cats, hornbills, eagles, otters and snakes. Also on the island there is a diving centre and a few nice small coral reefs.
On the coast of Koh Phra Tone there are two settlements in which live representatives of the people, the Moken (sea nomads). Comfortable accommodations can be found on the West coast of the island, along the Gulf Phratong. Nearby is the island of Koh RA – hilly, overgrown with jungle, and uninhabited, much of which is national Park. There you can go Hiking.
National Park Moo Koh Surin. To awaken in Robinson Crusoe, visit the national Park Moo Ko Surin is a tiny archipelago in the Andaman sea. Five hilly Islands are home to monkeys, birds, large crabs and lizards, and surrounding the island are coral reefs – some of the best Thailand places to see the turtles and reef sharks.
In two restaurants of the Park serving simple but delicious seafood, and at 22:00 then cut off the electricity so that the guests had a chance to admire the stars. Most visitors stop in large comfortable tents provided by the Park, but you can also rent a forest Bungalow. It is better to book them in advance. The tourist season on the Surin Islands lasts from October to April.
Koh Ngai. Near the Surin Islands is the tiny island of Ko Ngai, also called Ko Hai. It is the size only 4 2 km, partly covered with low mountains and evergreen forests, in which live monkeys-the crabeater and huge lizards.
There are no roads here, the only way to get around the island on foot. If suddenly this piece of heaven on the land you are tired, you can relax in the water, exploring the coral reefs. On the neighboring island of Koh Mook and its amazing Emerald cave is better to go early in the morning or the evening when there is less people.
Koh Jum. The island lies between Krabi and Koh Lanta has two names. The locals call the flat southern part of the island of Koh Jum, and the mountain of the North – Koh Phu (Crab island). The island has a road and several cars. Koh Jum is a sort of compromise between the noisy and quiet Koh Lanta’s idyllic Andaman coast. The most active leisure activity here is snorkeling. On the West coast a good choice of accommodation for tourists.
The Island Of Koh Yao. Despite their proximity to Phuket, Ko Yao Noi and Ko Yao Yai, almost untouched by mass tourism. Sleepy buffaloes living among the locals still not used to tourists, so don’t be surprised if your appearance will cause a stir among the local kids. But here you can observe the local way of life. Accommodation options range from shacks to prestigious resorts. There is also a yoga center and a camp for those wishing to practice in tybo.
The larger Ko Yao Yai, it offers excellent housing options, but the island is not so much built up, and therefore it is better to explore it on a motorcycle. Parties you will not find here, and to Shine their bikinis outside of the hotel better not. But for such strict rules, you will be awarded the opportunity to see the traditional culture of the island.
Ko Kradan. Just South from the busy Koh Lanta is a tiny island of Koh Kradan — partly national Park, partly a resort island. A two-kilometer main beach offers fine white sand and views of scenic limestone cliffs. About 50 metres from the shore lies a coral reef buzzing with life. And to sail around the island on kayaks, will take only three hours. Koh Kradan is a great option for families and romantic couples.
