Haydn agreed and the next day he gave the butcher the coveted minuet. A few days later the composer heard loud music from the street, which he hardly recognized his work. Opening the door, Haydn found himself on the threshold of a happy butcher, his daughter and husband, the crowd of wandering musicians and a huge bull with gilded horns, which was presented as a gift to the composer. After this the minuet in C major has been called “the Minuet of the ox”.

The famous Austrian composer Franz Peter Schubert wrote his first major Symphony at 17. In the next 15 years of his life he created many brilliant works, but the press refused to publish them.
