Limitations with Rosoboronexport for maintenance of Mi-17 took off in the last year.
United States lifted sanctions against Rosoboronexport for contracts in the field of technical obsluzhivayuschuyu Mi-17 in Afghanistan. This was stated by the Deputy Director General of the company Sergey Grislawski.
According to him, the sanctions imposed in September last year, abolished November 25.
“The decision was made for two years, but if necessary may be extended by the American side,” said Goreslavsky.
Rosoboronexport has already signed a contract with the Czech enterprise “LOM Praha” on technical inspection of the first four helicopters.
Rosoboronexport is the sole Russian state intermediary for export and import of products, technologies and services of military and dual-purpose.
The US and its allies are using in Afghanistan several dozen Mi-17 helicopters, which are export versions of the Mi-8.
