Ukraine issued a commemorative coin about the deportation of Crimean Tatars

The national Bank of Ukraine (NBU) issued coins in memory of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people”. On Wednesday, may 25, with reference to the data controller informs UNIAN.

The Agency points out that the appeal was received two thousand silver coins in denomination of 10 hryvnias and 30 thousand coins from Nickel silver (an alloy of copper, Nickel and zinc — approx. “Of the tape.<url>”) face value of five hryvnia.

18 may in Ukraine is celebrated as the Day of memory of victims of deportation of Crimean Tatars carried out by the people’s Commissariat of internal Affairs of the USSR in 1944.

On 11 April the national Bank of Ukraine introduced into circulation a linen 500 UAH bills. The NBU noted that the natural properties of flax fibres significantly exceed the mechanical strength of fibers of cotton, providing better durability of the paper.

For 2015, the Ukrainian currency has fallen against the dollar by 51 percent. In January last year the dollar was given 15,77 hryvnia, in January 2016 — 23,78 of the hryvnia.

Crimea reunited with Russia following the March 2014 referendum in which the majority of the region’s residents supported the decision. Kiev refused to recognize the election results. In Moscow insist that the accession of the region conform to the norms of international law.
