Experts said the new tax rules when selling a used car.
Adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the law considerably eases the tax burden on the buyer of the vehicle used.
We are talking about the adopted law “On amendments to the Tax code of Ukraine to stimulate the market of used vehicles.”
What is the point of these changes? If, prior to the adoption of this law was taxed the full value of the car, now the only tax you need to pay only from Commission payments and margins of the cabin.
We show this by a concrete example. Take as conditional value of the car $10,000. Previously, the tax amount would be $3 000, and then the auto buyer would have to pay $13 000. Now at the same starting price of the vehicle, the amount of additional fees will be from $500 to $1, 000 – total the new owner will be limited to the amount of $11 000.
So, under the new rules, the amount of the taxes from the sales of used cars reduced by 67-83%, depending on buying.
