Two banks have lost the license of the Central Bank

The Central Bank revoked the license to conduct banking operations of “Kapitalbank” (reg. No. 2547, Rostov-on-don) and the Bank’s “Universal Finance” (reg. No. 2654, Moscow). About it reports a press-service of the regulator.

As for “Kapitalbank”, then the withdrawal is accepted in connection with default by a credit institution Federal laws regulating banking activity and Bank of Russia regulations, application for a period of one year the measures stipulated by the Federal law “About Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Bank of Russia)” and taking into account the presence of real threat to interests of creditors and depositors.

“AKB “Kapitalbank” conducted high-risk lending policy connected with placement of funds into low-quality assets. Adequate assessment of accepted risks and fair reflection of the value of Bank assets resulted in a credit institution of the grounds for implementing measures on preventing the insolvency (bankruptcy)”, – stated in the message.

Bank “Universal Finance”, according to the Central Bank, also did not execute Federal laws regulating Bank activity, and statutory acts of Bank of Russia. In addition, the Bank has been unable to satisfy creditors ‘ requirements on monetary obligations, taking into account the repeated application within one year the measures stipulated by the Federal law “O Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Bank of Russia)”.

“Kapitalbank” and “Universal Finance” — participants of the Deposit insurance system, therefore, provides for the payment of insurance compensation to depositors of the Bank, including individual entrepreneurs, in the amount of 100% of the balance, but not more than 1,4 million rubles in aggregate per depositor.

According to statements by total assets of OJSC JSCB “Kapitalbank” on February 1, 2016 364 took place in the banking system of the Russian Federation,”Universal Finance” – 239 .
