The Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim said about the need to restore and develop economic and cultural relations with Egypt.
The Turkish government believes that the country needs to restore and develop economic and cultural relations with Egypt. This was at the briefing in Istanbul, Prime Minister of Turkey, Binali Yildirim, reports AFP.
“We believe that we need to develop economic and cultural relations with Egypt as countries that use both sides of the Mediterranean,” he said.
However, the Prime Minister stressed that the relationship at a high level cannot be restored over night.
This is not the first time that Yildirim expressed hope for improved relations with Egypt. So, in June he said he wants to see “continued hostility” such countries as Egypt and Syria.
As is known, relations between Ankara and Cairo came to naught after 30 July 2013, the Egyptian military overthrew President Morsi, who was a close ally of the ruling justice and development Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
