Transcarpathia has declared economic independence from Ukraine

The unexpected decision of the deputies of the Transcarpathian regional Council on independent economic policy could be the beginning of the active collapse of Ukraine.

According to the website of the regional Council of Transcarpathia, the deputies, Recalling the outcome of the referendum of 1991, declared its own economic policy and independent relations with foreign States and regions.

“Based on the results of the referendum of 1991 on the establishment of a self-governing territory (78% of the region’s residents then were “for”), Transcarpathia, the Autonomous intends to build economic relations with foreign States and regions”, — stated in the decree.
In particular, members noted the need to implement cooperation with the Upper Franconian region (Germany).

“The regional state administration, Executive office of the regional Council, local authorities of the region to implement practical measures for the implementation of the programme of cooperation with the Upper Franconian region (Germany), the preparation of projects in the field of water management, environment, investment, transport and infrastructure and tourism.”

In the Transcarpathian regional Council emphasize that any innovations in the legislation has still not been submitted as all provisions on independent foreign trade activities provided for in regulation of the referendum of 1991

However, the head of the Transcarpathian regional Council Mykhailo rivis made the possibility of escape of Transcarpathia from Ukraine.

“I understand it as: if the government wants to see Transcarpathia in the Ukraine, they should not forget that our edge there,” he said.

Currently solves a question on creation of the working group on the drafting of legislation on economic autonomy and the free economic zone of the Transcarpathian region.
