The uncertainty in the markets caused by Britain’s decision to withdraw from the EU, was the cause of the collapse of yields on 10-year US government bonds (US Treasuries). This is evidenced by the auction.
It declined five basis points to 1.39%. The yield on thirty-year US Treasuries also showed a negative trend, declining six basis points to 2.17%, according to RIA Novosti.
It is noted that investors are turning to the purchase of safe assets (yen, gold, US treasuries), in connection with expectations of a lengthy period of weak global growth.
