Fishing is good in that everyone brings joy, even if the catch is small. Me, a not particularly skillful fisherman, captures the process of fishing and the opportunity to experiment. And if experiments with some “idea” you get results, then I am doubly happy!
Here and recently had the opportunity to determine the most efficient lures – jigs and devils – one of those that I use to without the nozzle. The lesson was, I must say, very exciting.
Craving for basmatic evident last winter, when, contrary to his own mind, I was first able to catch fish on the “naked hook”. Even more delayed baitless game in the fall (this time stretching almost to new year’s holidays), we managed to master fishing from the shore on the side of the nod.
And here the question arose: what kind of bait saved for me for 3-4 years profitable and which are not? Those that do not manifest themselves properly, one would have to work (to transform them or to pick up the game), which is also interesting.
Initially the group were well-established: first, a Jack with a white bead (worked perfectly last season) and secondly, conditionally, “gwozdecky” particularly shiny bead. Conventionally, because, having shown excellent results recently, in late autumn, the fish, unfortunately, remained in the river, not reaching half a meter to the finish line – the big bream broke. With her recovery and I began the path to the completion of their effective combat units, at the same time putting aside “time hacks”.
Gwozdecky was found quickly, today is not a deficit, but with the right bead was harder. But “our hero does not give up”, and, in the end, the right jewelry was also purchased. I assumed that will replace the existing bead on and go! But here is something just waiting for “ambush”. Bead neither to remove nor to wear to fore-end was not possible. Attempt to straighten the forearm ended in his failure, on another gwozdecky to straighten a hook succeeded, but only pre-releasing (heating) it in the flame of a candle. However, fishing is so soft (released) stinger wouldn’t work. His temper is again not wanted. And the hook in the body of the jig may start to wobble, and the trigger was activated (rathnow, back to bent – problematic)…
Upon reflection, I decided on “hand made” from scratch. For casting anything suitable was not, but the soldering iron is among the instruments present. With his help, I was able to achieve a good result by making practically a copy of lost jigs. The main advantage of homemade products that I could make the length of the forearm (it is necessary for sufficient mobility of the bead-bead) and without problems to put on the desired bead. The body of the lure can be run from thick wire, part of an ordinary nail, tin, lead… the Main thing is to pick up a soldering flux, acid, or rosin, because metals are different and not all give in to the soldering at once. To grind the workpiece conveniently diamond needle file, paint, nail Polish or permanent marker. So the paint lasts longer, is possible on top of the second layer is applied over a varnish, for example, “Capon”. In General, the field of creativity there, and make more than… one has only to dream or to climb in the Internet. Satisfying my desires jig, was the seventh… But the production process was streamlined.
However, to test only one homemade is not quite true from the point of view of cleanliness of experiment, and I have equipped a dozen rods ready coachmen, by hanging some 1-3 beads of different colors, in the hopes that the colors will attract retarded in gluhozime fish.
In fact, the preparation process was not fast. A dozen fishing poles is not one day of work. Because each “Spork” was required to pick up the weight of the lure nod, then followed to watch the game lures in a bucket or glass three-liter jar. Had it not been bad weather this year (when I will not understand, or a boat you take with you, whether heater or notebook), it is unlikely I made this mess; go to the pond with last year’s fishing rods and catch yourself… And it happened to have additions.
But here’s the long-awaited release on the ice finally took place. The first victory came on home-made. It pleased, and inspired, especially as the bait is worked as with a nozzle and without it. The first experiment had to be stopped, quickly time flies, imperceptibly almost 2.5 hours, had to return to the workplace…
A few days later I was fishing on a different lake – a former quarry. The depth is different, where a meter, three meters, Sat on one of the holes. You never know, maybe an environmental disaster has occurred… But the presence of many holes told me that the fishermen here are and, therefore, the fish present. In the end, tired of all sorts of freaks and sad thought, took out another rod with micro ball, hoisted bloodworms and left to hang in centimeters 5-7 from the bottom, and he went away for a couple of minutes away “to ease the soul”.
When I came back on the hook sat a small okonek. Strange to think, not to the game… was tempted Again dropped bait and began to play barely, near the bottom. Played very gently and was rewarded with another okunika. The fish are still there, though she has a small mouth, as, indeed, she was. And here worked a different bait!
Three heroes
I went and got one more tackle, with the so-called “Christmas trees”. It’s a Jack of small size with multi-colored beads on each of the three hooks. Play he tried! The result was not. This is not the first mistake (but the last time I gave very little time to test, so didn’t take it into account), so concluded: to overload the bait colors is wrong! Better one item, but the kind that makes you cling fish eye.
Had the opportunity to experience some of the lure and to compete in basmatic held in the form of a festival in the Moscow region. The situation was not quite simple for me (I’m still only a beginner besmettelijk). Literally from the first hole it was pulled out two okunika baby on gwozdecky of their own making, and then there was another long pause. I changed the hole – silence. Put “baby” (the one of reslover last time), no result. Next, the devil with a white bead – and missed again! In stock, of course, lures are many, including already equipped with fishing rods… But what to take? Decided to dip a yellow imp. No, not this “Canary”, – saw this already firmly. I don’t know why, but the hell with the black abdomen shows the result. Then put a Jack with floating hooks. Call it, if I’m not mistaken, the devil, but it doesn’t matter. My of evil spirits body black and the top white… And again misses. Not the bait, not the same. Contest every minute is precious, and while I understand that the record I still hoo how far, still trying to take measures: go, storm, try… That’s just so far to no avail. Dropped in the hole then another baby (“they have me,” as said the famous poet). And finally, slowly playing and trying different horizons of the water, somewhere in the 20-25 cm from the bottom got a small brisk plotvichku.
Tried this one time, I even “droplets”, and small “Uralochka”. But forty minutes to finish the fish’s activity has sharply decreased. In the end, my caught a fish caught only on gwozdecky and fine jig (micro ball) with red and white beads.
Happened to me and another way on a body of water, not counting the trip to the Yauza (the reservoir but I’m not so much jigs tested, how many ledovye tackle, although gusterica also worked successfully). Decided to redeem quite unusual for my friends. The first jig body, in which the sinker makes noise. Second – the famous Tula jig (turned Balchik). The third is also the lure of the Tula masters “tablet”. There wasn’t much time. Two hours (well, actually 1,5) caught nothing. Do they think that the bait is to blame. The pond is very difficult. Most likely the approach to pick up failed. Before leaving saulino in the hole of the new Jack, that was yellow (the same “Canary”, about which I wrote above). But I repainted it black, and… there was a bite, but before hand the fish is not reached. So just in case the ability to find the key! Another time another experiment.
By the way, about experiments, I remembered one example. Caught before the ice crust on the river where the strong current. And the jig was literally taken away. And fished as often happens now, “lunchtime”, that is passing by, and except for one pole and one jar with the parts of a General nature – with nothing. So the heavier jigs, alas, was not. On my knees had a chance to weight the lure ordinary lead bullet. But it is not attached to the line and to the hook using a thin wire (such toporoski purchase on hold). Of course, I was afraid that anyone in this “architectural exuberance” game. But, no, the bites were. The brush was missing.
So, despite the fact that until proved only a “ball-small”, small devils, Yes gvozdevskii, experience suggests that over time the list of “honored my fishing” will increase. And in an attempt to separate “the wheat from the chaff” last will not appear at all.
