According to him, the traditional festival of the cinema “Zhovten”, “Kinopanorama” cinema city”, “Ukraine” in the Ukrainian capital have joined the “planet Cinema” and almost all the municipal theaters of Kiev. “The festival locations are expanding not only through movie theaters,” said A. Khalpakhchi.

According to him, the first one of the festival venues in the capital will be Sofia area, where “day and evening will host a variety of events”.

A. Khalpakhchi also recalled that, traditionally, the opening and closing of the festival will be held at the National academic drama theater.Of Ivan Franko. In the current year will be the first broadcast of the ceremonies in-line in the cinema “Ukraine”.

As noted in the press release, which announced at a press conference in the international competition will show student films, first short films (with duration up to 45 minutes) and feature length (over 60 minutes) films in the national competition – Ukrainian short films (fiction, documentary, animation). In the festival programme also “Parallel” competition – “Youth – children” program, designed for the age category 10-14 years) and the competitive program “Sunny Bunny” (“Sunny Bunny”) is a program of LGBT-films.

In the competition program – Ukrainian premiere, German-speaking, French-speaking cinema, Nordic panorama, a retrospective program “the Century”, dedicated to 100-year anniversaries of the masters of world cinema, focus Lithuanian, Hungarian programme, programme of horror films.

Special event of the festival will be the retrospective “Ilyenko*80”.

The festival will also show a retrospective of Shakespeare in the cinema” (films based on works by Shakespeare), which will represent the British Council in Ukraine.
