The West first called a spade a spade, – Piontkovsky

The Declaration after the NATO summit, I would put a solid four. A common characteristic of the events is utterly uncompromising, all the things called by their proper names: the Russian aggression, violation of international law. The summit also discussed the security of the Baltic countries and Poland. It shows that Russia is perceived as a serious threat. But the most compelling evidence is its behavior in Ukraine.

The Declaration is a valuable item 19 on the Minsk agreements. It differs from the style of the “channel groups” and again emphasizes that all understand: “the Normandy group” is not the best format for Ukraine. I will quote this paragraph:

“Despite the stated commitment of the Minsk agreements, Russia continues to deliberately destabilize the Eastern part of Ukraine in violation of international law. Russia continues to provide weapons, equipment and manpower, as well as to provide financial and other assistance to militant groups, continues its military intervention in the conflict. We are extremely concerned about destabilization and deteriorating security conditions in the Eastern part of Ukraine. We urge Russia to cease its aggressive actions and used her considerable influence on rebels to ensure the implementation of their obligations in full, in particular to ensure the monitoring of the ceasefire, implementation of confidence-building measures and disarmament”.

Have you ever heard such words in the statements of the “Normandy group”? France, which is included in this group, all the time trying to place the responsibility on both sides. Germany, in the person of foreign Minister Steinmeier, too, to talk about it. By the way, Steinmeier is absolutely not fulfilling orders and installations of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, but rather Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Even before the opening of the NATO summit, he called saber-rattling, and called for dialogue with Russia. Like, she is a partner, not a threat. The millions of dollars that Putin gives Schroeder – the nearest ally of Steinmeier, affect. Steinmeier and Hollande – two of Putin’s agents, who have a constant pressure on Ukraine to accept his plan for the introduction of a cancerous tumor in the body politic of Ukraine.

But after the Declaration of the NATO to Ukraine and its leadership to guard against this it will be much easier. It is sufficient to write it on a sign, and the next attempt of pressure to force Kiev to agree with Putin’s interpretation of the Minsk agreements, to show her in the nose.

But the conflict in the Donbas all the same will end with the fall of the Putin regime. While Putin is in power, he will not get out of Donbass, and will not give up Crimea. And the power he loses when all of his surroundings and the so-called elite, it will be clear that the West does not want to have anything to do with their leader. To exist without the West all this elite that holds everything is his condition, teaching children is their medicine, can’t. Accordingly, a leader who can not carry out any working relationship with the West, it will be unusable.

This statement sounds a clear message to the Putin entourage. Like, you want so-called peaceful coexistence with the West and continue his comfortable life there, free from this maniac. Essentially, this is the main message of the Declaration NATO sends inhabitants of the Kremlin.

Ukraine, it sends a signal that we support your understanding of the Minsk process, Russia is to blame for the lack of progress and in any case do not give in to pressure Steinmeier and Hollande, who want to force you to accept Putin’s conditions and be seduced by the illusion of territorial integrity.

Donbass is a temporarily occupied territory and full responsibility for it needs to carry occupation troops. Kyiv now needs to ensure that the Western allies providing the armistice line and ceasefire. Ukraine to be able to develop peacefully yet without these territories after the fall of the Putin regime would return to her.
