Ukraine has discharged a record fine.

According to state frontier service, during one of the joint raids with the staff of the fiscal services had detected a case of smuggling of Opel Vectra Lithuanian registration. Citizen of the Republic of Moldova, which, in fact, imported Opel Vectra in our country, has designed the machine in the mode of “temporary import for up to one year”, then transferred the vehicle to a Ukrainian, living in Belgorod-Dnestrovskiy.
According to the border guards, the new owner did not pay any fees and duties,so his actions clearly traced signs of evasion from payment of customs payments, for which he was fined in the amount of 500 thousand hryvnias.
By the way, this is not an isolated case. For several years, law enforcement was able to establish more than 30 cases of illegal importation of vehicles into the territory of Ukraine, and information about each of them was transferred to the staff of fiscal service.
