Russian border guards detained while trying to cross the border with Ukraine, a suspect in the murder of family members in Voronezh. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of border guard of FSB.
The man was detained on may 24 on the outskirts of Donetsk, the Rostov region ten meters away from the border while trying to cross it to bypass the checkpoint. “The preliminary investigation determined that the offender is in Federal search, and tried thus to avoid criminal punishment for committing a crime under paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 105 of the criminal code “Murder of two and more persons”, — reported in Department.
The detainee is suspected of killing a man, his mother and the attempted murder of his four year old son in Voronezh. The victims ‘ bodies were found may 20 in the apartment of multi storey house, where the included gas burners. The child in the stairwell next to the apartment was found by the neighbor. At present, the suspect handed over to the police.
According to the Voronezh portal 36on.ru the suspect is a resident of the town of Krasnodon in Luhansk region. In 2014-2015, he worked in the Kaluga region, and then moved to Voronezh. According to RIA “Voronezh”, the name of the detainee Ivan Kovalenko. He rented an apartment from a family whose members, presumably, become its victims.
