The survey showed distrust of Russian media reports on the state of the economy

Опрос показал недоверие россиян к данным СМИ о состоянии экономики

The majority of Russians do not trust the media on the state of the economy. This is evidenced by results of poll spent by Fund “Public opinion” 9 Oct.

According to him, more than half of respondents (51 percent) said they did not trust the Russian media as a whole. Thus, 46 percent of respondents believe that information about the state of the economy highlights the biased (against 32 percent).

At the same time, 61 percent of respondents believe that the economic situation covered in the press is incomplete (versus 20 percent), while 46 percent believe that actually the situation is worse than it seems. 28 percent of respondents believe that media reports correspond to what is really going on, and seven percent — that the state of the economy is better than described in the press.

The results of a similar survey conducted six months ago, is almost identical (fluctuations at the level of 1-6%), however, when compared with the survey data for August 2015, there is a sudden drop in the level of confidence in the media about the situation in the Russian economy.
