The Russian economy fell into another reality, where they will look for themselves, according to the Minister of economic development and part-time poet Alexei Ulyukayev. According to him, downturn in the real economy over the years has not stopped, however, the term “crisis” is irrelevant: we just went down to the floor below.
“There is no bottom from which to start. We just find ourselves in another situation, another reality. This also applies to the global economy, and Russian. One growth model has exhausted itself, another has not earned”, – said the Minister in an interview Газета.Ru”.
Ulyukayev believes that the Russian economy has growth potential, as the turbulence ended, imbalances have diminished, markets have calmed down, and inflation will fall”.
“We just came down from one floor to another. Lower not going, but much above does not work, because there was a powerful demand restrictions, foreign and domestic” – said the head of the MAYOR.
According to him, the statistical decline in the real economy during the year has not stopped: GDP is now about 0.8% lower than a year ago. That is from July 2015 to July 2016, each month was either 0 or minus 0.1% of GDP. However, the Minister said, it is only “oscillatory motion within the lower floor, and in this sense the term “crisis” is now inappropriate”.
“I think we’ll go up, but within the same “floor”, if not make the necessary changes,” – said Ulyukayev.
Commenting on the budget, the Minister noted that the “hole” authorities intend to close the money from privatization, and in the fall it may take another budget sequester, as state revenues came in below forecast by 12%, or 1.1 trillion rubles.
The Minister also responded to criticism of the economic block of the government for the fact that the authorities regularly cut back social spending, but not touch defense, closed articles of the budget. “That’s right blame. However, I would say that the only part of the economic block in this should be blamed,” – said the Minister.
Responding to a question about reforming the pension system, Ulyukayev said that can not yet assure that the authorities “did not throw” citizens. However, according to him, any decision on this issue.
