Researchers believe that the earth may be extinct during the Second world war the Amber room. She was taken by the Nazis during the occupation of Tsarskoye Selo in the Royal castle of Konigsberg. However, after its occupation by Soviet troops, it was not there, since the fate of the Amber room nobody knows. There are several versions of her whereabouts, according to one of them boxes with fragments were buried by the Nazis.

The amber room was a gift from Prussian king Frederick William I to Czar Peter the Great. In Petersburg she was brought in 1717. Under the Empress Elizabeth Petrovna, the architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli added to the finish of the Cabinet gilded carving, mirrors and mosaic pictures of agate and Jasper.
