Sberbank of Russia has lowered rates under contributions of the population. About it RIA Novosti was informed in the press service of the credit institution.
“Reducing interest rates on deposits of individuals is due to the General trend of a fall in interest rates on deposits of natural persons in the market. The reduction of interest rates on deposits of a basic line made in rubles — up to 0.9 percentage points in foreign currency — up to 0.5 percentage points”, — noted in the Bank.
As the Central Bank plans to tackle inflation
According to the website of Sberbank of information, the maximum Deposit rate “Keep” in rubles is now at 7.76 percent, to $ 2.06 percentage, for the contribution “Pay” — 7.10 percent and 1.85 percent, according to contribution “Manage” — 6.59 percent and 1.64 percent. The new rates are valid from April 25.
Earlier in an interview with Bloomberg, Deputy Chairman of Sberbank Alexander Morozov said that in 2016, the Bank may reduce interest rates on foreign currency deposits “hundredths of percent”. However, he added: “To rates below zero we are mentally not ready yet”.
