The Director of the Foundation “Health” Eduard Gavrilov believes that such a large change in overall mortality at home can be attributed to natural causes, but a change in methods of accounting of deaths.
The health Ministry confirmed that last year was introduced weekly monitoring of the regions and now Federal officials travel to places and participate together with regional counterparts in the calculation of the basic indicators of mortality.
The Ministry added that the mortality rate in Russia from all causes in 2015 fell by 0.3% and amounted to 13 people per thousand population.
