According to the representative of group on assistance to migrants ProAsyl, which helped the refugees to prepare a complaint to the European court of human rights, the plaintiffs are asylum seekers from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.

According to the publication, the incident occurred on March 14 on the Greek-Macedonian border: hundreds of migrants and refugees who escaped from Greece to Macedonia, was detained by police and expelled from the country.

Human rights activists say that the police of Macedonia used excessive force against migrants and illegally pushed them back from the border.

It should be noted that if the court will satisfy the complaint of the refugees, the plaintiffs will be entitled to financial compensation.
