The volume of deposits of physical persons with the beginning of the year decreased by 0.7 percent to 23.06 billion. In comparison with the same month last year in June 2016 it rose by 15.9 percent.
The assets of Russian credit organizations in June compared with the previous month decreased by 0.7 percent to 79.5 billion rubles. The decline in banking assets since the beginning of the year amounted to 4.2 percent. Compared with June last year, the total assets of banks increased by 8.2 percent.
14 June, the Central Bank has forecast that profits in the banking sector of Russia in 2016 could exceed 500 billion rubles. While the regulator said that the prediction could be revised in a more optimistic direction.
In 2015, the profit of the Russian banking system amounted to 192 billion. While a year earlier it reached 589 billion rubles.
