“I consider their activities as participation in the preparation of my murder and the intent to deprive Montenegro independence. We have to live with it, both they and I” – said Djukanovic.

He also urged Russia to explain the role of two of its citizens during the coup attempt on election day on 16 October, saying that it expects a response in the next phase of the investigation in Montenegro.

“If we want to believe that the Russian government has nothing to do with it, then it should say, who are these people and what are their names,” – said Djukanovic.

In turn, the special Prosecutor for organized crime Montenegro Milivoje Katnic said that the attempt of the Russian special services to destabilize the situation in Montenegro and to carry out a coup in the country on the day of parliamentary elections, on 16 October also included the assassination of Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic.
