The Pope promised to pray for the “enlightenment” of trump.
Pope Francis refused to give personal opinion about the newly elected President of the United States Donald trump in an interview on Friday, 11 November, saying he was only interested in the impact the elections of politicians on the poor.
To the question what he thinks about Mogul Donald trump, who won the election for President of the United States, the Pontiff was quoted as saying by the Italian newspaper La Repubblica: “I don’t make judgments about people and policies, I just want to understand how their behavior will affect the poor and the outcast.”
Pope Francis went on to say that he is most currently concerned with the issues of refugees and migrants, saying: “We must break down the walls that divide us”.
