So, in Zaporozhye began the work of the Committee that organizes the reception of humanitarian aid. The place also has a representative of Caritas, which arrived in Ukraine from Rome.
“At the moment Ukraine is going through a big humanitarian crisis, especially in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Pope Francis seeks to help the poorest of the poor. We work with all Christian churches and non-Christian communities. They try to provide us with a database of the needy in the so-called “grey zone”, as well as in Donetsk and Luhansk and in the territories, where not all humanitarian assistance could reach”, – said the responsible for the distribution of aid to the Bishop of the diocese of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia Jan Sobilo.
