A couple of Russian farmers had been missing.
Fiji found the remains of two dead Russians, told RIA Novosti head of the consular Department of the Russian Embassy in Australia Eduard Shakirov.
“This morning we received officially confirmed information that the remains found in the waters of Natadola beach, owned by Russian citizens Shipulin Yuri Anatolievich and Gerasimova Natalia. This is the official confirmed data, they are based on the genetic testing that was made by the Fijian authorities,” the diplomat said.
According to police, the last time a Russian couple was seen June 15 at a cafe near the beach, Natadola beach, located 50 kilometers from Nadi town. Two days later, local residents found an empty car with the keys in the ignition, which belonged to the deceased. A pair of Ryazan arrived in Fiji five years ago to capitalize on agriculture. On his farm they grew pumpkins, watermelons, tomatoes, pineapple and some other crops and sold them in the resort areas and markets.
Earlier it became known that police have confirmed the deaths of the couple from Russia that had been missing.
