The photographer has shown how the world famous Romanian town Buzescu.
It is situated 80 km South-West from Bucharest, and a population of 5 thousand people. In Buzescu built about 800 houses, each worth 2 to 30 million dollars. The total value of all the immovable property of Roma-millionaires is estimated at 4 billion dollars.
Like their counterparts from the Russian ruble, Buzescu of Gypsies pay no taxes to the state, formally considered unemployed or owners of firms with a zero balance. There is, however, one exception – their houses are considered unfinished and therefore subject to a small tax on property, usually 200-300 euros per year.
“The Roma of Romanian millionaires Buzescu work in shifts: 3-4 months in Western Europe, then home for a few weeks (or were forced to return for weddings, funerals and christenings of friends and relatives). And because the majority of palaces in this town filled with children, the elderly and women.
I wonder another. Most of the relatives of the rich remain loyal to traditional crafts. Many of them raise pigs, poultry and horses in the back yard of the palaces, the women sew quilts, old men doing the chasing and ludyat copper utensils.
