Pentagon chief Carter believes that Russia is fueling extremism in Syria.
The Pentagon chief Ashton Carter said that Russia is fueling the civil war in Syria.
“The Russians said that they come to Syria, to fight terrorism and to help with their historical influences to achieve a political end of a civil war,” said Carter during the meeting with the military.
He stressed that Russia’s actions do not affect a military operation of the USA and allies against the terrorists of the Islamic state.
Carter believes that the actions of the Russian military only fuel extremism in Syria.
