This fall on the Russian screens, with the support of the TV channel “My planet” and distribution of MVK will be released a big-budget feature film on the life of French Explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau, opened to mankind the “second space”: the secrets of the vast and fathomless oceans, the secrets to captain Cousteau untouchable was kept under the water.

The Director of the movie was Jerome Salle, best known for his work on the films “Elusive” and “Largo winch: the Beginning”. The main role of captain Cousteau, played by Lambert Wilson (the Matrix Reloaded,” “Matrix revolutions” and “Babylon N.E.”). Simone Cousteau, the spouse of a researcher, played by Audrey Tautou, one of the most popular stars of French cinema. The plot of “the Odyssey”, as well as travel the Cousteau, was inspired by the poem of Homer. Like the ancient Greek warrior and the traveler, captivated by the beautiful nymph Calypso, the main character for many years obsessed by the dream of exploring the depths of the oceans and to share their discoveries with all humanity. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, he invents a device that be named “scuba diving”, assembles a team of like-minded people and will convert a military minesweeper under the ship “Calypso” for scientific expeditions.
