The UN has reported that in Yemen at least 140 participants in a funeral procession in Sana’a was killed in an air strike that was made by the coalition of Saudi Arabia.

The number of wounded more than 500 people, said the Yemeni Ministry of health. The coalition denies the application of air strikes.
The UN resident coordinator for Yemen, Jamie McGoldrick called the incident “a vicious attack”. The representative of the rebels, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, and all described the airstrike as “genocide”.

In March 2015, a coalition of Arab States led by Saudi Arabia launched an operation against the Yemeni rebels, the Houthis, supported by Iran, and to help local military loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Since April of last year, the coalition started air strikes on the positions of Houthis. Yemeni President Abd-rabbu Mansour Hadi over the conflict was forced to flee the country.
