New Volkswagen Tiguan became the best-selling crossover in Europe.
The most popular crossover in Europe by the end of August was the Volkswagen Tiguan, sales of which have shown an impressive growth of 74%.

European sales of Volkswagen Tiguan, the second generation in August was of 9.68 thousand units, which is 74% higher than the level of demand on the German model over the same period last year. This allowed the “Tiguan” confidently to circumvent such competitors in the SUV segment as the Nissan Qashqai, Hyundai Tuscon, Kia Sportage and Renault Kadjar, traditionally very popular in the Old world.
In the overall ranking of best-selling European car market VW Tiguan finished in fifth place. The first place kept his “brother” Volkswagen Golf (20.7 thousand units, -5%), is located next to Ford Fiesta (10,6 thousand cars, +4.9%) and Peugeot 208 (9,78 thousand pieces, +10,8%) and Opel Corsa (in the UK – Vauxall, 9.7 thousand cars, +21,4%).
Also in the top ten most popular cars included the VW Polo (9.5 thousand units, -15,5%), Dacia Sandero (8,7 thousand cars, +46,4%), Audi A4 (8,5 thousand units, +34,4%) and Renault Clio (8,4 thousand cars, -14,3%).
