An unusual library in Venice.
Flooding is common in Venice, a city that is in the water.
In the winter months, local residents suffer from the fact that the channels “out of coast”, photoplay streets and buildings. To minimize the damage in such situations, one of the bookstores came up with an original solution is to place books in… gondolas. So once the water arrives, the paper editions are saved!
The idea to create such an unusual shop came up Frizzo Luigi (Luigi Frizzo). His efforts in 2004 there was a bookstore, and soon fell in love with not only the Venetians, but tourists. Shop Luigi you can find books on various topics, there are the bestsellers and the newest edition, old rare books.
Some publications that have no relevance, have become part of the decor, is not used for the intended purpose (are made “legs” of tables, and this, by the way, does not confuse readers).
