Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European integration Olena zerkal said the threat of the abolition of European sanctions against Russia. She said this on air of the Ukrainian “5th channel”, reports on Thursday, may 12, “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“I think that it won’t be easy, especially given the recent events that occurred in the French Parliament, when 55 members of the lower house could pass a resolution regarding the withdrawal from the sanctions pressure,” said the mirror, answering the question about the prospects of extending the anti-Russian sanctions of the European Union.
Deputy foreign Minister of Ukraine added that the resolution of the French Parliament, is a landmark.
“And it’s not good for us. It is really an understanding that neprodlene the threat of sanctions exists,” she said.
Deputies of the lower house of the French Parliament on April 28 voted for a resolution calling on the government to oppose anti-Russian sanctions. In the vote was attended by 98 deputies, 55 of them supported the document.
The document is not binding and is Advisory in nature. The effect of the EU sanctions taken against a number of sectors of the Russian economy (including energy, defense and financial), expires on 31 July this year.
The question of their renewal will be discussed at the summit in June.
Restrictive measures against Moscow were introduced in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the South-East of Ukraine and Crimea in structure of Russia.
